Coastline Walking in Brittany

Perros-Guirec - 11km north of Lannion

28km walk along 'Corniche Bretonne' runs along the coast from Perros and around to Trebeurden. Splendid sea views and rocky outcrops. Suggest first you start at Ploumanach (park on car park in town and walk on to narrow beach). Follow walk around to the right (as you face the sea) at the side of beach , turn right at end and up through avenue of hedges to headland. Interesting rock shapes and glorious coastline.

Treguier - east of Lannion

Proceed through lower town following estuary over bridge and in the direction of Plougrescant. Follow signposts forLegouffre the cottage in the rocks 'Cotes D'ajoncs'. Splendid area for coastline walking - look out for  Le Gouffre (right).

Sandy Beach Walks

St. Michel en Greve

Approx 20 minute drive north through Plouaret in direction of Lannion and turn right where signposted. Large beach where you can enjoy a bracing walk and watch the windsurfers, and when the weather is right, sand surfing too. Or take a kite with you.

Inland Walking

Huelgoat - 29kms south of Morlaix

Quiet countryside town in the Parc D'Armorique. Splendid walk through woodlands beginning on road dam opposite lake and follow narrow trail over rocks to the 'Devil's Grotto' - non-slipping shoes are a must - underground river and open theatre to see.

Menez Bre - 10km north east of Treunaff

You can't miss the hill top on a clear day in the distance when driving along the N12 in the direction of St. Brieuc. Good place for a picnic.
